The Faculty of Industrial Economics was founded in accordance with the Charter of Mining-metallurgical Institute of Tajikistan, as part of the institute in accordance with the decision of the Academic Council, December 28, 2020. Under No. 5 and order No. 263 of 11.01. 21 Based on the decision of the Academic Council of the Institute dated 09/01/2022. By order No. 495 of June 30, 2022, the Faculty of Industrial Economics was renamed “Economics and Artificial Intelligence”.
The Faculty carries out its activities in accordance with the staff of Mining- metallurgical Institute of Tajikistan, regulatory documents in the field of higher professional education, the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On Education”, the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On Higher Professional Education”. Vocational education after higher educational institutions, the National Concept of Education of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Concept of the Development of Vocational Education in the Republic of Tajikistan have established a standard regulation on an educational institution of higher vocational education of the Republic of Tajikistan.

The Faculty employs are 24 teachers, including 3 professors and 10 candidates of science. In the faculty study more than 320 students at the faculty, 20 of them from the Republic of Uzbekistan.
